- Main Airport: Vancouver International Airport (YVR) — approximately 30 minutes to UBC by taxi or rideshare (e.g., Uber). If using public transit, take the Canada Line SkyTrain to either:
- Langara–49th Avenue Station and transfer to the R4 RapidBus westbound directly to UBC (faster option),
- Broadway–City Hall Station and transfer to the 99 B-Line RapidBus westbound to UBC.
Total travel time is around 55–65 minutes depending on the route and time of day.
- Visa: Most international visitors require an eTA. Visit Canada’s immigration site for entry details.
- Campus Location: UBC sits at the western edge of Vancouver, surrounded by forests and ocean. It’s approximately 10 km from downtown.
- Weather in Late May: Typically 12–19 °C, partly cloudy with cool mornings. A light jacket and umbrella are recommended.
